BRIEF: Police release video of shooting suspects
Feb 15, 2013 (Boston Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Authorities investigating last month's killing of a popular Malden skateboard shop owner have released photos and a video of two men they say were "involved" in the brazen daytime shooting and are asking for the public's help in identifying them.
Shawn Clark, 39, a Marine Corps veteran and father of two children, was shot multiple times Jan. 29 in front of his Main Street shop, Patriot Skateboards, authorities said. The shooting followed what police called a "confrontation" inside the store. Two suspects ran off down Edmond Street after opening fire on Clark on the sidewalk just outside the store's front door, authorities said. Clark was later pronounced dead at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Authorities, in a statement released yesterday, said the two men appear to be dark-skinned males wearing dark clothing, one of whom had a handgun. One of those suspects was described as more than 6 feet tall, while the other is between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet, authorities said.
Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 781-897-6600 or Malden police at 781-397-7171.
