BRIEF: BABIQRawl
MERIDIAN, Feb 16, 2013 (The Meridian Star - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Ethan Faircloth, a seaman recruit from Naval Air Station Meridian, places a Building and Business Inventory (BABI) sticker on the front door of The Faces Lounge located on 22nd Avenue in downtown Meridian on Friday. BABI is a program presented by Meridian Main Street in which QR codes are used by consumers with smart phones that have a scanning app. When the consumer uses the phone to scan a QR code, it puts information on that person's phone. In the case of QR codes being developed by Meridian Main Street, information will be provided about businesses and what they offer, and their hours of operation.
