Feb 16, 2013 (The Wilson Daily Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Police want the public's help to identify two people accused of robbing a man at gunpoint.
The Wilson Police Department on Friday released surveillance images of two men suspected of robbing a man as he left a convenience store on the 500 block of Lane Street at 10:34 p.m. Feb. 5.
The victim told police two men approached him, one brandishing a handgun, and demanded his wallet. They took it and ran away, according to Wilson police spokesman Sgt. John Slaughter.
Images taken from surveillance video show two men wearing black coats, one with a green baseball cap and one wearing a gray sweatshirt hood.
Police ask anyone who can identify the men or anyone with information on the robbery to call Detective Danielle Warmack at 206-4991 or Crime Stoppers at 243-2255.
