MyVoIPProvider.com Picks the Top 6 Residential VoIP Providers for Easy Home Conversion with the Best Deals on VoIP Hardware

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB) February 17, 2013 One of the major reasons Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) has become so popular is its easy in homes everywhere. With residential VoIP service, all the subscriber really needs is an ATA (analog telephone adapter) or a digital phone.

Many people wonder about the equipment they will need to make the move to a VoIP system, so My VoIP Provider has revealed the top residential VoIP providers that sell hardware, or offer hardware at no extra cost.

By itself, an ATA for a two line phone can cost $100. IP Phones are the alternative to an analog telephone with an ATA, and typically offer superior call quality, but an ATA will suffice for those who don’t want to have to buy lots of VoIP hardware and would prefer to use their old phones.

ITP Even in their basic plan, service provider ITP offers a single line Linksys adapter and router at no extra charge. For their residential 2 line plan, ITP offers a Linksys adapter and router that can support up to 2 phones. The basic 1 line plan from ITP is $9.99/month and the basic 2 line plan is $18.99/month.

VOIPo VOIPo offers their own proprietary adapter as part of all of their residential VoIP plans. Their basic plan is $6.21/month with a 2 year contract, and comes with a free lease on the VOIPo adapter.

Phone.com Phone.com also offers an ATA adapter at no extra charge with their lowest tier plan at $8.88/month. As part of that plan they offer a Grandstream HT702 adapter that typically retails for $84, but comes at no extra charge with residential VoIP service. The Grandstream can service 2 lines.

AxVoice Like most providers, Axvoice says their service will work with almost any VoIP phone or adapter available, but just in case, they offer an ATA lease at no extra charge in all of their plans. Their basic unlimited US and Canada calling plan costs $8.25/month, but for subscribers that want to pay as they go, AxVoice also offers a $4.99/month plan that also carries a $0.015/minute charge.

Phone Power Phone Power is currently running a special for $119.76 for a 1 year plan that comes with a second year for free. That averages out to $4.99/month. The package includes a lease on an ATA or an ATA and router that both support 2 lines.

VoIP.com VoIP.com's proprietary adapter comes at no extra charge with any of their plans. Their cheapest plan is a pre-paid, 1 year plan that costs $149.95 ($12.50/month), but subscribers can also sign up for a 2 year contract for $14.95/month.
