China Unicom Jan. adds 3.61 mln new mobile users
BEIJING, Feb 20, 2013 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
China Unicom (CHU.NYSE; 00762.HK;
600050.SH) announced Wednesday that it gained 3.61 million new mobile
subscribers in January, while the net addition of 3G users was 3.67
million.
By the end of January, the carrier's total mobile users
totaled 242.92 million, including 80.13 million 3G service
subscribers.
Meanwhile, the second largest Chinese mobile telecom operator
added 682,000 new broadband users and 128,000 fixed-phone subscribers
in January, boosting the total respectively to 64.55 million and
