Republic Steel Taps Quintiq Supply Chain Planning and Optimization Solution

Quintiq, a provider of Supply Chain Planning and Optimization (SCP&O) software, announced that Republic Steel, a North American supplier of Special Bar Quality (SBQ) steel bars, has selected Quintiq's SCP&O software solution to optimize its steel production planning and scheduling.
According to a release, Republic Steel will implement Quintiq's industry solutions for metals manufacturing, including Quintiq's company planner for campaign planning, order promising, finite capacity planning, and inventory optimization; and Quintiq's scheduler solutions for detailed scheduling and sequencing optimization for melt/cast, hot rolling and finishing operations.
