Jericho Systems Enters Into an Enterprise License Agreement with DCGS-A for Identity and Access Management (IdAM) Security Framework [Professional Services Close - Up]

(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jericho Systems Corp. announced that the Army's Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS-A) has purchased bulk, perpetual licenses and maintenance agreements for the EnterSpace Decisioning Service (ESDS) and associated components in support of DCGS-A's Tactical Identity and Access Management (IdAM) Security Framework.

Jericho Systems' flagship, patented ESDS software was selected to enforce enterprise security policies leveraging standards-based, attribute-based access control (ABAC) architectures. DCGS-A's solution provides an extensible ABAC architecture with a configurable policy enforcement point (PEP), policy administration point (PAP), and policy decision point (PDP) that allow domain- specific and Community of Interest (COI)-specific customizations.

"Jericho Systems' professional services arm augmented DCGS-A's information assurance staff to architect the first ABAC-enabled tactical system, bringing DoD's net-centric vision to the battlefield," said Jericho Systems Cyber-Security Architect Bill Doyle. "The use of ESDS enabled DCGS-A to create an IdAM architecture that supports the digital mobility requirements of today's warfighter while meeting information assurance requirements that protect DCGS-A's IT assets." The purchased solution for DCGS-A provides access control to data across a security context that includes multiple platforms, various classified environments, multiple security credentials, and multiple protocols. The solution architecture is based on open standards and requirements as defined by Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and National Security Agency (NSA). ESDS supports an interoperable, widget-based environment that facilitates a unified user experience, streamlines system development, supports re-usability of architecture components, and lowers the barrier of entry for community members.

DCGS-A, Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), and Program Executive Office Intelligence Electronic Warfare & Sensors (PEO IEW&S) purchased ESDS and related components that support a Single Sign-On (SSO) user environment and architecture in tactical environments. The solution, which was designed and developed by Jericho, enables various architectures to work together to support DCGS-A's requirements while meeting Army and Department of Defense/ Intelligence Community (DoD/IC) enterprise guidance. The purchased components provide a user-focused solution that interoperates with enterprise services and authoritative identity and data sources. DCGS-A's ESDS solution includes a Tactical Attribute Store (TAS), a Central Authorization Service (CAS), and interoperability with emerging enterprise services as part of a managed access control solution. The SSO user environment enabled by ESDS provides a secure architecture that supports pluggable components of the Ozone Widget Framework (OWF), Spring Security, and Java Authentication and Authorization Service (JAAS).

"We are proud that DCGS-A has chosen Jericho Systems' ESDS 'made- in-America' technology in support of the Army's tactical and enterprise data security needs," said Brynn Mow, CEO of Jericho Systems.

Dallas-based Jericho Systems Corp. supports national cyber- security through the development and implementation of fine- grained, policy-based data filtering technology that provides attribute-based access control (ABAC).
