TOKYO - Shareholders of struggling chipmaker Renesas Electronics Corp. on Friday approved a 150 billion yen investment plan from a Japanese government-backed fund and eight private-sector firms to accelerate restructuring measures.

NEW YORK - Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. President Andrew House said on Thursday he anticipates a strong launch of the newly unveiled PlayStation 4, the first overhaul of the iconic gaming device since 2006.
