Mandiant Adds Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Business Development to Executive Team
ALEXANDRIA, Va. --(Business Wire)--
Mandiant, the leader in advanced threat detection and response
solutions, today announced two new additions to its executive team:
Chief Financial Officer Mel Wesley and Vice President of Business
Development Jeff Scheel.

Mel Wesley joins Mandiant after eight years in a leadership role at
OPNET Technologies, where he served most recently as senior vice
president and chief financial officer until OPNET's acquisition by
Riverbed (News - Alert) Technology in December 2012. Prior to OPNET, Mel served as
corporate controller for SteelCloud, Inc., a publicly traded corporation
that provides design, development and manufacturing of network
appliances and infrastructure server products. Earlier in his career,
Mel worked as assistant controller for Learning Tree International,
Inc., a publicly traded corporation that provides training to IT
professionals and managers. Mel holds a bachelor's degree in accounting
and an MBA from George Mason University and is licensed as a certified
public accountant in Virginia.

publicly traded technology companies is needed to sustain our rapid

Jeff Scheel joins Mandiant as vice president of business development
where he is reponsible for building Mandiant's relationships with
technology alliance partners and global systems integrators. Jeff also
leads Mandiant's corporate development and acquisition activities. Jeff
brings over twenty-five years of experience at enterprise software and
security companies in sales, alliances, corporate development and
executive leadership roles. Prior to joining Mandiant, Jeff was vice
president of business and corporate development for HP's Enterprise
Security Products business unit. He joined HP through its acquisition of
ArcSight (News - Alert) where he was senior vice president of business development and
built alliance relationships with global systems integrators, ISVs and
cloud security providers. Jeff has also held leadership roles at
security and enterprise software companies including Damballa, PassMark
Security (sold to RSA (News - Alert) Security), Vocent Solutions (sold to PassMark
Security), Siebel Systems and Oracle. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree in History with honors from Stanford University and a Master in
Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
