BRIEF: Oregon State to unveil new logos, uniforms on March 4
CORVALLIS, Feb 22, 2013 (The Oregonian - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Fans have been waiting awhile for this: Oregon State athletic director Bob De Carolis has announced that the Beavers will unveil their new logo/brand/uniforms on March 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the CH2M HILL Alumni Center on the OSU campus.
For the past few months, rumors have swirled and possible new logos have surfaced on the internet, as fans, athletes and coaches waited to see what the new brand would look like. Oregon State has been working closely, and quietly, with Nike on the re-brand since last winter.
March 4 will serve as a fashion show of sorts, as several current athletes will model the new uniforms. Benny Beavers will also make his first appearance in his new outfit. The uniforms will make their "competitive debut" in August. Oregon State reports there will also be special guests at the event with a video presentation, and that the unveiling will be available via livestream at OSUBeavers.com.
