Feb 24, 2013 (American News - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
A variety of soups will be served Saturday (March 2) at the Aberdeen Moose Family Center's Soup Supper.
Sandwiches and bars will also be served at the meal, which starts at 6 p.m.
Those who wish may play darts, pool or bean bag toss. There will be a fish pond for kids. A "Moose on the loose" will be roaming the building and handing out color books to the children. Door prizes will be awarded to adults and children.
The cost is a donation to the Mooseheart School Renovation Project. Except for children 5 and younger, who eat free, a minimum donation of $3 per person is requested.
Mooseheart, also known as the Child City, is in Mooseheart, Ill. It is a home for children whose families are not able to take care of them. They are educated from kindergarten through high school.
Mooseheart will celebrate 100 years of academics on the Child City Campus on Commencement Day in May.
