BRIEF: Penn State women's basketball: Lady Lions clinch share of Big Ten title

UNIVERSITY PARK -- Maggie Lucas scored 21 points as No. 7 Penn State clinched a share of its second consecutive Big Ten regular-season title with a 68-57 triumph against Michigan on Sunday.
Alex Bentley, Mia Nickson and Ariel Edwards added 11 each as the Lady Lions (23-3 overall 13-1 Big Ten) raced to an early 23-4 lead and held off the Wolverines in the second half. Penn State recognized their five seniors and held its annual Pink Zone fundraiders before 14,173 fans, the fourth-largest home crowd in program history.. The Lady Lions finished 14-0 at home this season and won their 20th straight at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Kate Thompson had 25 points to pace Michigan (19-8, 8-6).
Penn State concludes its regular season with games at Minnesota (Thursday) and Nebraska (March 3). The Lady Lions can clich the Big Ten title outright with one more win or a Nebraska loss.
