Maid caught abusing baby on camera [New Straits Time (Malaysia)]
(New Straits Time (Malaysia) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) KOTA BARU: After the recent incident of an Indonesian maid caught on closed-circuit television camera tossing a 4-month-old baby, another Indonesian maid has been detained after being caught on video abusing a 15-month-old baby girl in Jalan Bayam here.
The baby's parents had put a digital video camera in a room on Saturday night after discovering bruises on her leg for the past several months
It was understood that the couple had asked the maid, who was in her 40s, about the bruises but they were told that she had a fall.
The abuse was discovered after the young couple put on a video camera in a room at 9.15pm and left the house to go to a dentist.
On their return, they watched the video and saw the maid roughing up the baby, including pinching her.
District police chief Assistant Commisioner Azham Othman said the couple lodged a report at the Kota Baru police station around midnight and the maid was detained 45 minutes later.
He said the suspect had been remanded for four days beginning yesterday.
