FBI hunting serial bank robber dubbed the 'Mesh Mask Bandit'

A man wearing a black mesh mask and brandishing a handgun could be responsible for nine bank holdups in North Texas since December, according to the FBI.
The FBI, which released surveillance video snapshots and other information on the robber late Friday, said he should be considered dangerous although no one has been injured in the robberies.
The robbery spree began Dec. 31 at a BBVA Compass Bank in Dallas. FBI officials say the same man hit two banks Thursday: one in Addison, one in Carrollton.
FBI agents said the robber may have sustained chemical burns during a Jan. 31 holdup at a Capital One Bank in Dallas when a dye pack exploded. His clothing and skin may also have been dyed red.
In several robberies, the robber wore a large watch and a distinctive hat, according to bank surveillance photos.
FBI officials said that in each holdup the man ran into the bank wearing the mesh mask and, brandishing a handgun, demanded money from the bank teller.
The robber is described as about 5-feet-7 to 6-feet-2 with a medium to large build. He has worn long pants, a long-sleeve shirt and gloves.
Banks that the "Mesh Mask Bandit" may have robbed include BBVA Compass in Dallas on Dec. 31; Citibank in Dallas on Jan. 5; Wells Fargo Bank in Dallas on Jan. 19; Texans Credit Union in Dallas on Jan. 24; a Capital One Bank in Dallas on Jan 31; another Capital One Bank in Dallas on Feb. 7; and Bank of the West in Carrollton.
