SoundGecko v2.0 Makes your Commute Productive by Letting you Listen to News, Websites, and Documents on the Go

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Melbourne, Australia (PRWEB) February 26, 2013 121cast today announced the release of version 2.0 of its SoundGecko app for iOS, following its approval by Apple’s App store.

SoundGecko was launched in July 2012 to help users consume web content on the go, by giving them an audio version of news content, web content, and documents. SoundGecko aims to help people keep up to date be more productive when they can’t see a screen, like when driving, at the gym, or on a crowded train.

Version 2.0 features:    •  a completely redesigned user interface,    •  new ‘stations’ feature to listen to channels of content,    •  the ability to browse content by categories and interests,    •  the ability to hear human readers read out the best content and,    •  the option to play headlines only, instead of full articles.

For a demonstration of the app in action, visit http://www.youtube.com/watch v=5n_sJ9rKyGg Andrew Armstrong, Chief Technology Officer of 121cast, said that the update incorporated feedback received about the first version of the app to deliver instant access to content and a more polished and user-friendly experience in version 2.0.

“We’ve really focused on polishing the interface and giving users instant access to content sources, to make it even easier to access written content whilst on the move or multi-tasking.” Armstrong said 121cast was aiming to streamline the user experience as much as possible.

“One of the key goals of this update was to get the best content in front of each user with as little fuss as possible.” Version 2.0 of SoundGecko is available now for download through the Apple App Store, at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/soundgecko/id541781633.
