Media laws threaten freedom

The Australian Government blames the media when its support falls, instead of focusing on issues of concern to voters. The Government wants to increase regulation of the media when the sector is under pressure from increasing competition and changing consumer preferences. Restricting the freedom of the media will constrain freedom of speech. Editorial.
