BRIEF: Final Wrigley pre-sale of Cubs tickets set for March 8 [Chicago Tribune]
(Chicago Tribune (IL) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Feb. 27--MESA, Ariz. -- The Cubs announced single-game tickets for the 2013 season will go on sale at Wrigley Field at 8 a.m. on March 8. Online and phone sales will follow at 10 a.m.
This will be the final year the Cubs will give fans a chance to buy tickets at Wrigley Field before they go on sale online or over the phone, where service fees are added to the purchase.
"Given our planned restoration schedule at Wrigley Field and fans' increased use of online ticket purchasing, we don't anticipate offering this advance in-person purchase opportunity moving forward," said Colin Faulkner, the team's vice-president of sales and partnerships, in a statement.
The Cubs are also offering their annual pre-sale on March 6 on the team's web site at a 20 percent premium, or a 15 percent premium for those using MasterCard. For more information, visit the team's website, cubs.com.
