Inspiration for entrepreneurs ; Movers&Shakers [Hull Daily Mail (England)]
(Hull Daily Mail (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TELECOMS: The founders of internet phone company Connexin will deliver the keynote speech at a showcase for graduate business start- ups.
Managing director Furqan Alamgir and chief operating officer Alex Yeung will talk about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and take part in a question and answer session with graduates.
Hull-based Connexin is also donating prizes to the winners of the Company to Watch 2013, E-Commerce Innovation of the Year 2013 and Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 at the Entrepreneurs Day being organised by the Graduate Entrepreneurship Project.
The Graduate Entrepreneurship Project brings together universities across Yorkshire and the Humber to help students and graduates who are looking to start up in business.
The Entrepreneurs Day takes place on Thursday, March 7 at Hull University's Enterprise Centre. Malcolm Joslin, president of Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce will make the opening address. Connexin has sponsored the prizes for the awards. Winners in each category will receive an internet phone package including the latest handsets, a five-page website design and five days mentoring from the company.
