BRIEF: Robbery suspect charged

A man was
Tuesday for his alleged role in a 2011 armed robbery at Ridgeview Village.
Brett J. Severance, 24, of Winter Park, is charged with armed robbery and conspiracy. His bond was set at $100,000.
According to criminal complaints: Three masked men robbed a Valley View Avenue residence at gunpoint May 4, 2011.
The men tied up the victims with zip ties and took an unspecified
amount of cash.
One suspect dropped a cellphone during the robberry.
Phone
records indicated it belonged to Severance.
At least one person who made calls to and received calls from Severance on the robbery date told police he was speaking to Severance.
Severance told police he lost his phone before the robbery occurred.
Sgt. W.A. Tennant, of the Monongalia County Sheriff 's Department, said it took a while to piece together evidence from the robbery. He expects to file charges against three others.
