SendGrid Launches Free Application Load Testing Service

BOULDER, CO, Feb 28, 2013 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- SendGrid, the leader in email deliverability, today announced the launch of Loader.io, a new cloud-based service that gives developers the ability to quickly and easily stress test their web apps and APIs with thousands of concurrent connections. SendGrid is making Loader.io available for free as part of an effort to eliminate the cost and time roadblocks that prevent developers from building load testing into their daily coding and deployment routine.

Loader.io gives developers an alternative to the current cloud-based load testing services, most of which are cost-prohibitive for young cash strapped web applications to use with their frequent app development cycles. First released in private beta in December 2012, Loader.io has already made more than 1 billion connections, has run more than 5,000 tests, and has more than 1,500 apps registered.

Loader.io is also the first project to be publically released by SendGrid Labs.
