BRIEF: Target or Cabela's: Tualatin's Nyberg Woods anchor tenant still a mystery
TUALATIN, Feb 28, 2013 (The Oregonian - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Site plans obtained through a public records request for Tualatin's Nyberg Woods II development show Target or Cabela's as the anchor store.
Although officials have not confirmed the potential tenants, a representative with Target said the company was not interested in CenterCal Properties' newest shopping center project.
A representative with Cabela's declined to comment.
Plans for the former Kmart center, off Interstate 5, call for park-like public spaces, trails along the river and various shops. Fred Bruning, chief executive of the shopping center development company, also led the Bridgeport Village project.
In September, the Wilsonville Chamber of Commerce were still hopeful about luring the sporting goods giant to the city. But plans or discussions have yet to resurface.
They, too, heard rumors of Cabela's interest in Tualatin.
