Ramco signs five-year contract with Emirates [Khaleej Times (United Arab Emirates)]

(Khaleej Times (United Arab Emirates) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Ramco Systems, the global aviation software provider, has signed the master supply agreement with Emirates to provide global class software products and related services to the world's largest and fastest growing airline, its top official said.

The contractual agreement for five years requires Ramco Systems to implement reliability information management system for Emirates Engineering Department.

"Emirates is the world's largest international carrier and among the fastest growing. This makes Emirates a strategic account for Ramco Systems. Being providers of the world's leading aircraft maintenance and engineering software solution, we hope to keep increasing our contribution to the growth and success of Emirates," Virender Aggarwal, chief executive of Ramco Systems, told Khaleej Times during an interview.

Aggarwal chalks out company's strategic growth plans through reliability information management system in the region. However, he declined to share the value of the agreement signed recently. ?Excerpts of the interview: Would you please share details of master supply agreement with Emirates Ramco Systems has signed a five-year master supply agreement with Emirates. With this we will be in a position to provide our global class software products and related services to the Emirates Group. As the first deliverable we will be providing reliability information system to Emirates. This will cater to the reporting requirements of various stakeholders within and external to Emirates.

In layman terms, what is a reliability information management system Reliability management function in an airline is responsible for monitoring and early detection of faults that can significantly affect aircraft performance and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Emirates needed a solution for measuring flight performance and monitoring for aircraft reliability and ensure regulatory compliances; analysis of trends through real time analytical reports to identify and investigate technical problems and respond with solutions faster and Initiate investigations and improvements in aircraft efficiency and effectiveness.

And Ramco's reliability management module will completely replace the manual process for reliability management, enabling faster action; automate the OEM and statutory reporting, thereby reduced time and effort across stations; provided a perfect capability fit and accommodate dynamic and unique requirements and meet the internal and regulatory reporting requirements, leading to better reliability and service levels.

Is Emirates first client for Ramco in the aviation sector Do you see this deal opening more doors in the aviation sector Emirates is not the first client for Ramco in the aviation sector, rather, Ramco is quite an established player in the aviation sector. But yes, it will definitely add value and credibility to our product. Ramco aviation suite provides aviation maintenance and engineering (M&E) and maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO software) solutions, globally.

Ramco's customers include Air India, Pinnacle Airlines, Conair, PHI, Air Methods, Era Helicopters, Republic Airways, to name a few..

How much does your Middle East operations contribute to Ramco's overall revenues Who are your major clients in this region The Middle East operations contributed 14 per cent of the overall organisational revenues for the year 2011-2012. Few of the key clients in the region are Emirates, Gulf Helicopters, CERT, Al Faris Equipment Rental, Integrated holdings, RakBank, Citibank, among others.

What kind of potential do you foresee for Ramco in this region Specifically with respect to aviation, Middle East is home to the world's healthiest and fastest growing airlines. Also the market has a good number of financial institutions, rental companies and oil and manufacturing companies. We provide ERP solution on cloud that runs on iPad, iPhone and has a GenY Interface with lightning fast in-memory processing. With these capabilities we see a great future for Ramco in the region.
