BRIEF: Two robbed in span of 30 minutes late Friday


Mar 02, 2013 (Columbus Ledger-Enquirer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Columbus police are looking for two robbers who took cash and other items from victims late Friday.

A man, 18, told police he was in the parking lot of Providence Church on St. Marys Road when a man pulled a gun about 8:45 p.m. on him and said, "You better give it up before I kill you." The gunman took $120 in cash and a $250 cell phone before fleeing in a blue Lexus. The vehicle was seen traveling west on St. Marys Road.



The robber was described as black, about 20-25 years-old, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 140 to 150 pounds.

Less than 30 minutes later, a 31-year-old woman said a ski-masked man robbed her at a home on Stoney Creek Drive. The robber left with $200 in cash and other items.


She described the robber as black, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and wearing all black baggy clothing.

Both robberies remain under investigation.
