App will show how Romans shaped town [Gloucestershire Echo (England)]
(Gloucestershire Echo (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ROMANS are set to be put on the modern-day map with a new mobile app.
Cirencester's Corinium Museum launches The Romans app on Monday, created by local business Tap-Mob, which gives visitors to the town and museum an in-depth experience of Roman Cirencester. It includes all key archaeological sites, with a walking town tour using GPS navigation, enhanced museum tour and learning resources for primary and secondary schools. It will be available to download via the Apple App Store and Google Play store for use on iPhone, iPad and Android Phones and Tablets.
Museum curator Amanda Hart said: "This is a godsend for anyone who wants to know about the most fascinating period in Cirencester's history.
The Learning Zone is also ideal for anyone teaching the Romans or children studying the Romans in school."
