BRIEF: Spencer man accused of child exploitation, pornography

SPENCER, Mar 03, 2013 (Herald-Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Indiana State Police arrested a Spencer man Friday after an investigation determined he had distributed child pornography to an undercover officer.

Forrest Walker, 32, of Spencer, was arrested just before 1 p.m. Friday by members of the Indiana State Police and Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The ISP Crimes Against Children Unit began an undercover peer-to-peer investigation in October 2011 and executed a search warrant for Walker's home in January 2012.

During the investigation, officers determined Walker had disseminated child pornography to an undercover police officer through an internet peer-to-peer file sharing network.

The investigation also found Walker possessed hundreds of images and video of child pornography.

Walker was arrested on a preliminary charge of child exploitation, a Class C felony, and one count of possession child pornography, a Class D felony.

Walker was transported to the Owen County Security Center. Bond was set at $20,000. According to the security center, Walker posted bail on Friday.
