BRIEF: Verizon expands network throughout northeastern N.D.

Verizon Wireless is expanding its 4G network to parts of northeastern North Dakota, it announced this week.
Communities now covered include Cando, Cavalier, Devils Lake, Grafton, Rugby, Park River, Walhalla and elsewhere.
Verizon Wireless' 4G network covers 89 percent of the U.S. population, according to the company. It started service to North Dakota in Fargo-Moorhead in 2011.
