PIA Announces 2013 Agency Marketing Guide

(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 -- The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents issued the following news release: Sponsorships and advertising are now being accepted for the 2013 edition of the insurance industry's premier independent agency marketing publication, the award-winning PIA Agency Marketing Guide.


Published annually by the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, the PIA National Agency Marketing Guide contains hands-on marketing advice from some of the insurance industry's top experts, as well as experts from outside the industry.

"Across America PIA is known in the insurance industry as THE education association," said PIA National Executive Vice President Ron Von Haden. "That's because agents across the country rely on their local PIA associations for continuing education, designation classes, ethics classes, risk reduction classes and other insurance education. Providing the Agency Marketing Guide to agents and other insurance professionals advances PIA's goal of providing quality, practical education to those working in the insurance industry." With the 2013 edition of the PIA National Agency Marketing Guide slated for release in June 2013, PIA has now made the 2012 PIA National Agency Marketing Guide available to insurance professionals across America at www.PIAAgencyMarketingGuide.com. Originally published in print and online and made available exclusively to PIA members, PIA has now made the digital version of the 2012 publication available without restriction, so that all independent agents and other insurance professionals can benefit from the publication.

The 2012 edition focuses on how agents can make personal lines insurance a profitable and valuable part of their agency's offerings. A series of articles help independent agents better understand why personal lines should be more highly valued in their agencies and how they can streamline the sale of personal lines products to maximize profits. Authors also explain how agents can appeal to younger insurance buyers and effectively compete with the direct writers in personal lines sales.

The inaugural PIA National Agency Marketing Guide, published in 2010, focused primarily on social media. The publication contained a soup-to-nuts guide on how independent insurance agents can use social media to support their agency's sales strategy. The 2011 edition of the publication focused on how agents can market their services on the Internet. Both editions are available at www.PIAAgencyMarketingGuide.com along with the 2012 edition.

The PIA National Agency Marketing Guide is the winner of numerous awards, including the MarCom Gold award, presented by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), and the APEX Award of Excellence.
