Top digital appointment by Telstra

There are growing indications that telco Telstra wants to expand in the area of digital content provision, for example a new appointment in the senior management ranks. Following the resignation of JB Rousselot, his duties as head of the digital media and internet protocol TV operations have been handed to chief marketing officer Mark Buckman. He will now oversee the MOG music streaming service, webcasting of sporting events via the BigPond ISP unit, T-Box personal video recorder product, and Ooyala online video tool, in which Telstra recently invested $A35m.
