Facebook search is gunning for Google

Facebook is preparing to launch a search engine that will seek to reduce Google's market dominance. Marin Software MD Nick Gill said Australian retailers would take an increasing interest in search advertising in 2013 and would begin to respond to the popularity of smartphone and tablet searches. Figures released in February 2013 showed that the value of the search and directories market rose 27% on a year-on-year basis to $A1.8bn.
