DARE COUNTY, N.C. -- Norfolk police and Dare County sheriffs are investigating a car stolen from a school parking lot Friday.
Video cameras show the silver 2007 Toyota Tundra truck being stolen from the Cape Hatteras Secondary School parking lot a few minutes after 9:30 a.m., a sheriff's news release said. Sheriffs describe the thief as a white male younger than 20 years old, either 5-foot-5 or 5-6, with medium-length brown hair. He was wearing a brown hoodie.
Someone fitting that description later used a credit card, thought to be from the truck, in Norfolk, the release said.
The truck has North Carolina registration OBX22354, the release said. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Dare Sheriffs Office at 252-473-3444 or 252-475-9355.
