BRIEF: Winter Park ride shows support for bicycling

Bicyclists are invited to take a ride around town during Winter Park's 5th annual Bike from Park to Park event this month.
The ride is scheduled for Friday, March 22, but those interested in participating must sign up by March 19.
The event is intended to promote alternative modes of transportation, as well as a safe and viable infrastructure for bicyclists and pedestrians. The ride is part of the statewide recognition of March as Florida Bicycle Month.
The 3.5-mile ride begins and ends at the Central Park West Meadow, and goes through or by Martin Luther King Jr. Park, Mead Botanical Garden and Azalea Lane Recreation Center.
Refreshments will be served at ride's end. To take part in the ride, email trafficguy@cityofwinterpark.org or call 407-599-3233.
