France : ALCATEL LUCENT SA forms new ventures in INDIA and IRAQ [TendersInfo (India)]
(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Alcatel Lucent SA has announced that it has established new ventures in India and Iraq, and the firm made its announcements at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The infrastructure provider has inked an agreement with Telnor India to supply managed transformational services to a division of Telnor Group Company called Telewings Communications Private Ltd.
The deal between the two firms will over the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh and over 250 million people in the three states are likely to profit from it.
Alcatel Lucent inked a deal with Regional Telecom in Iraq for launching 4G LTE technology to offer wireless broadband services in the country by the communications services firm.
The firm said that excluding high-definition video streaming, video conferencing and voice calling, this venture is considered to help Iraq to improve and re-establish the nation s communication infrastructure.
Alcatel-Lucent has been active penning contract in the emerging markets. It just inked an agreement with Etisalat in Sri Lanka and Reliance Communications in India.
