Mar 05, 2013 (The Anniston Star - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
A man was charged Monday night with stealing computers from Walmart in Oxford last month, Oxford police said.
Fred Joseph Lundborg IV, 26, of Anniston, was arrested Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the Quintard Mall parking lot when police caught him allegedly trying to sell a .38 caliber pistol to a minor, Oxford police Chief Bill Partridge said. When police identified Lundborg, they discovered an active second-degree theft warrant for his arrest from an incident that occurred on Feb. 14, Partridge said.
According to Partridge, Lundborg stole two desktop computers from Walmart at 92 Plaza Lane around 3 a.m. Feb. 14. Police used video surveillance from the store to identify Lundborg as the suspect, Partridge said.
The chief said Lundborg also has pending charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Lundborg was in the Oxford City Jail as of this morning. Bond and a court date had not been scheduled as of this afternoon.
