TWIN FALLS -- A sentencing hearing for a man originally charged with 13 counts of possession of child pornography has been delayed for two weeks.
Daniel Roach, 29, of Filer was scheduled to be sentenced Monday in Twin Falls County 5th District Court.
In December, 12 of the 13 charges were dismissed by prosecutors, and Roach changed his plea to guilty on the remaining count of possession of child pornography.
Police originally investigated Roach in 2010 and 2011. In November 2010, Twin Falls police received a tip from the Utah Attorney General's Office about a Twin Falls area-based email address whose user uploaded six images of naked or partially clothed girls between the ages of 12 and 15. Eventually, police connected the email to Roach, a police report states.
While police were waiting for forensic examination results in order to file charges, police lost contact with Roach, the report states.
Then in August 2012, a woman who knew Roach called police after she spotted him with a young child and an adult woman, the report states.
On Aug. 24, police arrested Roach at his home in the 800 block of West Midway Street in Filer.
He's now scheduled to be sentenced March 18.
