BRIEF: Washington County's dispatching agency launches redesigned website

Mar 06, 2013 (The Oregonian - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Washington County's 9-1-1 dispatching center last week launched a redesigned website with information about calls for service in the county.

The website shows how many active incidents dispatchers are handling on both police and fire sides, said Mark Chandler, spokesman for Washington County Consolidated Communications Agency. It does not list the type of call.

Active fire and medical calls can be monitored on the agency's Incident Tracking System, a Google map that displays call location and type in both Washington and Clackamas counties.

Chandler said the new website also features statistics on call volume during the past 24 hours. That information is broken down by number of non-emergency, 9-1-1, cellphone and landline calls.
