120 jobs at BT [Birmingham Post (England)]
(Birmingham Post (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) A telecoms giant is to recruit 120 engineering jobs in the Midlands as part of its Pounds 2.5 billion roll-out of superfast broadband.
This is is part of a nationwide recruitment drive by BT that will see more than 1,000 engineering jobs created at the company's local network business, Openreach.
Most of the new recruits will be installing fibre broadband in customers' homes and businesses.
John Dovey, BT's regional director for the West Midlands, said: "There is a strong West Midlands demand for this exciting new technology."
