Conduit and Third Man Records Donate Vintage Jukebox and Record Collection to Benefit Sweet Relief Musician Fund's SXSW Interactive Auction

AUSTIN, Texas --(Business Wire)--

Conduit (www.conduit.com), the recognized leader in creating breakthrough engagement solutions for web and mobile publishers, has donated a vintage jukebox for Sweet Relief's auction during SXSW Interactive. With a collection of colorful 45-RPM vinyl records donated by Jack White's Third Man Records, the jukebox is available to bid now through the Sweet Relief mobile app and on the CharityBuzz website. All proceeds benefit the Sweet Relief Musician's Fund, the leading non-profit organization helping musicians in need.

The auction represents the latest step in an ongoing partnership between Conduit and Sweet Relief, which began with the launch of Sweet Relief's official mobile apps, available for iOS and Android smartphones. Bidding for the jukebox ends on Wednesday, March 13, at 3:30 PM EDT, and the winning bid will be announced at a SXSW (News - Alert) happy hour hosted by Conduit, Sweet Relief, and friends at the Conduit Corner, from 5-7 PM CDT (News - Alert) at E 7th St & Congress Avenue in Austin.

The jukebox, a vintage 1946 Wurlitzer 1015 "One More Time" model, has been loaded with music curated by musician Jack White's Nashville-based Third Man Records. Fifty 45-RPM vinyl records from Third Man artists including The White Stripes, We Are Hex, The Black Belles, and Karen Elson will povide the jukebox winner with a one-of-a-kind collection that blends both retro and modern influences. The jukebox will be on display throughout the entire SXSW festival at the Conduit Corner. For the complete list of music, please visit: http://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/342001.

"Our organization could not exist without the support of partners like Conduit and Third Man Records," said Bill Bennett, President of Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. "With Conduit, our mobile app was only the beginning of their commitment to our work, and thanks to Third Man Records, this jukebox will undoubtedly be one of the most coveted items at SXSW. This auction is a cool example of music lovers benefiting when we can provide relief to artists who have dedicated themselves to enriching the lives of others through their music, but may now be struggling with a disability, illness, or other problems."

"Auctioning this classic jukebox will bring the joy of music not only to our auction winner, but also to many musicians who have fallen on hard times," said Harel Tayeb, VP of Conduit Mobile. "We are thrilled to continue our commitment to Sweet Relief and the work they are doing to support artists around the country. SXSW is all about innovation, talent, and forward-thinking artistry, so it's the perfect time to celebrate our commitment to Sweet Relief and its efforts."

"Third Man is thrilled to donate some rare, out-of-print vinyl for such an important cause. It's a no-brainer. Combining a vintage jukebox with colored vinyl and have it all benefit needy musicians It's win-win-win," said Ben Blackwell of Third Man Records.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which provides financial aid for medical assistance, housing, food, and other vital expenses to career musicians suffering from illness, disability, or age-related problems. In response to Hurricane Sandy, Sweet Relief organized benefit concerts and established a relief fund, with 100% of the donations and auction proceeds going directly to provide food and medicine for those hardest hit. Sweet Relief's supporters include hundreds of prominent musicians and concert venues, ranging from Beyoncé to Bon Jovi to Bruce Springsteen.
