BRIEF: Repeat women's winner claims equalizer bonus again in Gate River Run

Janet Cherobon-Bawcom held off the men to win the Gate River Run equalizer bonus for the second consecutive year.
Cherobon-Bawcom, who finished in 49:44, used the 6-minute, 35-second elite women's head start to her advantage and pulled away late to finish ahead of second-place Alisha Williams.
The first runner across the finish line wins a $5,000 bonus on top of the first-place prize money of $12,000. Stephanie Bruce also crossed the finish line ahead of the men.
Ben True won the men's race, outkicking Bobby Curtis down the stretch to win the US 15K national championship in 43:38.
