BRIEF: Muskogee woman shot multiple times in home
MUSKOGEE, Mar 09, 2013 (Tulsa World - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
A woman was shot multiple times just after midnight Saturday in Muskogee, according to police.
Officers were called to a house in the 1600 block of south Fourth Street and found a woman with several gunshot wounds to her torso.
She was transported to Eastar Health System's Muskogee hospital for treatment.
Another adult and four children were also at the home at the time of the shooting, but no one else was hurt.
According to police, an unknown person knocked on the door and started shooting through the door as the woman was opening it.
Officers are now interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence from the home and trying to obtain video from the area.
