Brazil : JVCO and Telecom Italia carry on LAWSUIT fight [TendersInfo (India)]
(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The minority shareholder of Brazil's TIM Participacoes, JVCO had succeeded in continuing his lawsuit against the parent company of the mobile operator, Telecom Italia.
The determination was upheld by the Court of Rio de Janeiro and reverses the earlier decision of a Rio court who favoured the parent company.
In October 2012, JVCO had opened proceedings against the Italian telecommunications group demanding damages for 'abuse of power' which would have damaged TIM Participacoes.
