Conservation District plant sale underway
The South Douglas Conservation District is accepting orders for its 24th annual spring tree and shrub sale.
Offered are native and adapted plant varieties that can be used for windbreaks, erosion control, wildlife habitat and landscaping.
A catalog which describes the plants' growing needs and characteristics can be picked up at the district office in Waterville or by calling 745-9160 to receive a catalog by mail.
Orders will be taken until March 26. Buyers can pick-up their trees and shrubs here April 6 at the NCW Fairgrounds.
Proceeds from the sale are used to help fund efforts of the conservation district.
