BRIEF: Bowling event raises funds for nonprofit

More than 90 bowlers turned out to Berks Lanes in Sinking Spring for Threshold Rehabilitation Services' Bowling for FUNds event Saturday afternoon.
The event raised money for the Shillington nonprofit's programs and services, which provide employment and training, behavioral health and residential community support for those experiencing mental, physical, developmental and emotional challenges.
It also served as a way to involve the individuals Threshold serves with the rest of their community, said Brittany Martin, Threshold's development director.
"It seemed like everyone who was there really enjoyed themselves," she said. "We had some of the individuals we serve who love bowling and others who were family members, friends and people in our community who support Threshold."
The award for top overall adult bowler went to Tabby Reichart, top overall youth bowler to 10-year-old Josh Schaffer and the top overall bowling team was Jenn's Jackalopes.
Hometowns of the winners were not available.
