BRIEF: Ventura police investigate ice cream shop robbery

Police are searching for two men in connection with the robbery of a Ventura ice cream shop last night, officials said.
An armed robbery report was made at McConnell's Fine Ice Cream in the 3200 block of East Main Street (MAP), Ventura police said.
Responding authorities learned that two men in their 20s entered the shop before 10 p.m. One of the men simulated having a weapon under his jacket and demanded money from an employee, officials said. The employee followed the orders and gave the men an undisclosed amount of money before they fled on foot.
Patrol and K-9 officers searched the area but the men were not found, authorities said.
The employee was not injured during the incident.
