Bomb alarm evacuates thousands in Italian outlet
MILAN, Italy, Mar 10, 2013 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
A big outlet in northern
Italy was evacuated on Sunday after someone said there was a bomb
inside it, local media reported.
Some 15,000 customers and workers were forced to leave the
renowned Serravalle Outlet near Milan, which has designer labels
at discount prices in 180 shops.
According to ANSA news agency, someone with male voice made a
phone call to the outlet's switchboard in the early afternoon,
saying that some bombs had been placed in the complex.
Fire brigades, ambulances and police rushed to the spot.
Inspections were reportedly being carried out to determine whether
the threat was a false alarm.
