(AmCham Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Project News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Etisalat of the UAE, second largest telecommunications company in the Gulf has predicted its gross revenues in 2013 to reach $ 9.4 billion. That was circulated by Reuters from Dubai indicating that the company manages operations in 15 different countries in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The company is said to be suffering from a continued decline in profits over the past few years affected by strong competition at home and abroad. The group profits in 2012 reached DH 6.74 billion (about $ 1.84 billion) marking 24 % decline below their peak in 2009 put then at DH 8.84 billion. Meanwhile revenues grew during the above period until it reached a record in 2012 with DH 32.95 billion (about $ 8.97 billion). The company predicts revenues growth to continue between 3% to 5% in 2013 driving revenues to range $ 9.24 billion to $ 9.42 billion.
