Vodafone woos customers, but no price war

Vodafone Australia shed around one million customers in the years following its merger with the 3 mobile network in 2009. A decline in the performance of its mobile network contributed to the customer exodus, and current CEO Bill Morrow concedes that Vodafone did not respond quickly enough to the uptake of smartphones. He says the telco is addressing network performance issues, but he adds that Vodafone will not seek to attract customers by engaging in a price war its rivals.
