China continues to promote intelligent manufacturing equipment in 2013
BEIJING, Mar 11, 2013 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
China will continue to promote the
development of intelligent manufacturing equipment this year and urge
local authorities to support the move.
The National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of
Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
recently jointly issued a circular, requiring local authorities to
promote the development of intelligent manufacturing equipment.
The intelligent manufacturing equipment industry mainly covers
intelligent measurement and control instruments, numerically
controlled machine tools, industrial robots, new sensors, 3D
printing, and automatic complete production lines.
According to the document, projects, such as digital workshops,
R&D and application of intelligent measurement and control systems,
and application of intelligent manufacturing systems in typical
fields, would be supported.
The digital workshops refer to the application of intelligent
manufacturing systems in machine manufacturing, textile, printing,
biopharmaceutical and composite material sectors, and intelligent
measurement and control systems involved the application of
industrial automation instruments and control systems, industrial
robots and other key parts in machining, automobile, and process
