Kaazing and TIBCO Unveil "Modern Architecture for the Mobile Enterprise" CIO Global Speaker Series 2013
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Kaazing,
pioneers of HTML5 WebSocket and the leading live web and mobile
communication platform, today announced their partnership with TIBCO
Software Inc. (NASDAQ: TIBX) to offer the first-ever CIO Global Speaker
Series for 2013 entitled "Modern Architecture for the Mobile Enterprise."
From March 19 through to the end of 2013, Kaazing (News - Alert) and TIBCO will host
two global webinars and events in California, New York, London, and
Paris. Featured speakers include:
-
Jeffrey S. Hammond: Forrester (News - Alert) Research VP and Principal Analyst; "Top
Industry Analyst," according to the Institute of Industry Analyst
Relations; Expert in open source, next-gen mobile, and client
architectures.
-
John R. Rymer: Forrester Research (News - Alert) VP and Principal Analyst; Enterprise
middleware and cloud platform expert.
-
Larry McQueary: Director of Business Development, Messaging at TIBCO;
Global enterprise middleware and integration expert.
Industry experts agree that IT leaders must make significant strategic
and investment shifts during the next few years to properly prepare
their enterprise for the convergence of mobile, social, cloud, and big
data.
In a Forrester Research report published in May 2012, "Define A Road Map
For Mobile Security And Operations," the authors wrote, "Many
enterprises are considering developing HTML5 applications, but operating
HTML5 applications may require I&O pros to upgrade the infrastructure to
support the new websocket communication."
"As founders and pioneers of the HTML5 WebSocket standard, Kaazing has
worked to migrate many global customers from slow, static server-side
architectures to a modern architecture that can enable massively
scalable, real-time data and communication solutions," said John
Donnelly III, Executive Vice President, Kaazing. "We are pleased to be
working with TIBCO and top industry analysts like Jeffrey and John to
help deliver this message to innovative, customer-focused enterprises."
"Modern Architecture for the Mobile Enterprise" will give CEOs and CIOs
an opportunity to learn from industry experts about why companies need
to reinvent their architecture to be user-focused in the new "always on,
web connected" enterprise. Event topics will include global IT trends,
priorities, and budget allocations in key areas of middleware,
applications, web and mobile investments, as well as next generation
architectures that enable the "connected enterprise."
"TIBCO Web Messaging powered by Kaazing is at the forefront of this new
modern architecture," said Tom Laffey, Executive Vice President for
Products and Technology at TIBCO. "Our enterprise customers want to
extend their data to the web and mobile, but in a highly scalable,
secure and cost-effective method. Importantly, we see our clients
requesting easy integration and the ability to rapidly deploy these new
web and mobile architectures. Our CIO series is designed to help
enterprises prepare for that investment and organizational shift, and we
welcome CIO contemporaries to attend these events."
Analysts forecast that mobile phones will overtake the PC as the most
common web access device worldwide in 2013. Businesses need the capacity
to rapidly build and deploy mobile applications that can reach the
maximum number of users at the lowest possible cost, while delivering a
real-time experience that is fast, consistent, and secure, regardless of
a user's network, location, or choice of mobile device.
"With more than 1 billion smartphones worldwide, and tablets numbering
in the hundreds of millions, the scope of the mobile revolution rivals
that of the move from monolithic systems to client/server computing in
the 1990s," wrote Jeffrey Hammond in a Forrester Research report, "The
Future Of Mobile Application Development," that he co-authored in
January 2013. "As in that period, we're now seeing massive changes to
application architecture as companies modernize the way they build
applications. Modern applications require multichannel clients, elastic
infrastructure, and elastic licensing; they're composed of multiple
service endpoints that are provisioned by developers with direct
customer feedback on their convenience."
By attending one of TIBCO & Kaazing's "Modern Architecture for the
Mobile Enterprise" events, enterprises will learn from experts in the
industry on the technical impact modernĀ applications will place on
businesses, and what enterprises can do to prepare for a new generation
of contextual systems that improve customer engagement and employee
productivity by integrating systems of engagement, record, and operation.
