SoundOfMotion Releases 1° Precision VeloComputer Bluetooth Smart Sensor in 3 Versions
(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Vancouver, CANADA (PRWEB) March 12, 2013
SoundOfMotion is launching three versions of new VeloComputer 1-Degree precision Bluetooth Smart Sensor.
RIDER version measures distance with 1cm (½ inch) precision, speed, acceleration, cadence, lap time and distance, average and max speed, cadence and heart rate, GPS position and elevation, and offered for $99. SPORT adds slope grade measurement and 3-axis G-forces using accelerometer for $149. PRO adds propulsion power calculation and offered for $249.
“We have developed this technology for track cyclists, helping them to improve their performance and achieve training goals. The new 3 versions appeal to all cyclists: track, road or mountain, from the beginner to a pro,” said the founder, Vlad Savchenko.
All sensors work with VeloComputer application on iPhone, iPod and iPad equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 wireless technology. Users can easily upgrade firmware over-the-air to the next level as their training needs increase. All versions are powered by a CR2032 coin cell battery that lasts up to 200 hours.
SoundOfMotion's innovative wheel sensing technology is 360 times more accurate than traditional cycling computers. VeloComputer Smart Sensor detects a magnetic field from a pair of small magnets attached to spokes. It measures the angle of wheel rotation with 1-Degree accuracy. This precision reduces speed latency from 7 seconds to 1 second compared to traditional cycling speed sensors. VeloComputer accurately determines spot speed and instant acceleration to calculate torque, forces and power.
The VeloComputer Smart Sensor PRO is available on Amazon.ca for $249. RIDER and SPORT versions will be shipped in April. Also, a Team Pack of 8 PRO sensors with a free VeloCoach application for cycling coaches is offered at VeloComputer.com. SoundOfMotion donates one PRO sensor for each purchase of the Team Pack to a disabled athlete.
