Our workforce 'over-educated'

A study has shown that many Australian workers are over-educated. Nearly 50 per cent of the surveyed graduates were doing jobs that did not need their qualification. Higher education is expanding at a faster rate than the demand for skilled workers in the labour market. Over-education occurred mainly in four fields, being sciences, agriculture and environment, society and culture, and creative arts.
